ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Brian has spent his life in central Oregon. He was raised
in a family of musicians, and Grandpa started teaching him fiddle at the age of
nine. Fiddle competitions, Old Time Fiddle Club, and gigs with the family
consumed most of his time outside of school.
The skills Brian learned as a youngster have been honed and added to as he
combines them with a rich, strong baritone voice that pleases audiences around
the Pacific Northwest. As an adult, Brian began playing in local
bands. He has had the pleasure of playing from southern Washington to Las
Vegas, Nevada. At times he has played with his own band at county fairs,
clubs, and community events.
Opportunities to sit in with other accomplished northwest artists have presented
themselves like playing with Les Richardson at the Oregon Jamboree and The Indie
Country Music Competition/Showcase in Las Vegas. Then here in his own
backyard at the Deschutes County Fair he joined forces with Lonesome Road.
These experiences gave him the confidence to enter the True Value Country
Showdown. He won the preliminary competition in Eugene, went on to the
local in Coburg, and won to go onto the state competition in Hermiston.
Brian considers himself very fortunate to be playing in front of three guys who
call themselves, "The Brian Hanson Band." Joe Romero drives the
beat on the drums, Kevin Stamback offers his many years of knowledge on the bass
and rhythm guitars, and David Romero tap dances up and down the neck of his
guitar to add lead and rhythm to the music.
These four gentlemen are committed to providing a quality show by using a
straightforward, honest approach, and good music. They all agree with
Brian when he says, "I love music, so I gotta play."
