JOHNNY NAPP
Johnny Napp was born July 21, 1983 and raised in Williamsburg, VA. He started playing guitar at the age of 11 and has grown up surrounded by music and frequently sang at family gatherings.
"My parents always listened to oldies or classic rock and my sisters listened to country, hip-hop and dance music. I'm glad I was exposed to such a variety of music at a young age because it has enabled me to appreciate more forms of music today. I still listen to all kinds of music and try to incorporate them into my own." Johnny embraced artists like Garth Brooks, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Hank Williams, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tim McGraw and Toby Keith. "There is a commonality with all of these performers; all of them were pioneers with their style. This is something I aspire to achieve."
Focusing on his athletic talents, Johnny attended James Madison University on an NCAA basketball scholarship as a nationally-recognized athlete.
While many of his college peers chose a professional basketball careers and are currently playing in the NBA, this fast-rising country singer has already shared the stage with some big names in country music such as Billy Currington, Jason Aldean and David Allen Coe.

"There are certain songs that show appreciation for the fans that are having fun and are willing to sing along; this is one of those songs," Johnny said. On this album, Johnny is able to show his softer side too and musical versatility with songs like Delta Dawn, Tanya Tucker's first hit in 1972 that was eventually recorded by Helen Reddy and 76 other artists over the years. Dawn's writer, Alex Harvey, for the first time ever added a new bridge to the song especially for Johnny, and Harvey lends his background vocals on the track.
Johnny also performs one of Harvey's newest tunes, Birmingham Steel, an ode to good women who stand behind their men, even when those guys are in the unemployment line.
The major thing that drives me to be an entertainer is the fans. Music has
always touched me deep inside; a single song can easily change the mood for the
day. Being an entertainer gives me the opportunity to pass this onto other
listeners. I can lighten the load of life for a while by offering people a break
from their usual day. If people honestly get this satisfaction out of my music,
then things are alright."
When this tall, dark-haired handsome singer walks on stage or into a room, his charisma and presence is
immediately noticed. He's shy and reserved yet when performing onstage his personality comes alive and his mysterious dark-brown eyes make an instant connection with his audiences.
Johnny's debut single, Cowboy Up and Party Down, is destined to make him a household name and a country superstar.
